Dr. Yvonne Doll, a core faculty member in the School of Management, presented “Social Workers and Women’s History Month and Honoring Trailblazing Women in Labor and Business: Equal Opportunity Program” at the Kansas City Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She also presented “Let the Generations Know, We Served Too: Women’s History Month” at the Eastern Kansas Department of Veterans Affairs.

Dr. Rocky J. Dwyer, a contributing faculty member in the College of Management and Technology, co-published “Strategies for Retaining Employees in the Hospitality Industry” in the Journal of Business and Economic Perspectives with Dr. Melvia Scott ’15, a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) graduate.

Dr. Rocky J. Dwyer co-published “Measuring Regional Competitiveness Through Agricultural Indices of Productivity: The Peruvian Case” in the World Journal of Entrepreneurship, Management and Sustainable Development.

Dr. Susan K. Fan and Dr. Rocky J. Dr. Hamid H. Kazeroony, a contributing faculty member in the School of Management, recently published “Managing Human and Intellectual Capital for Sustaining African Organizations” in The World Financial Review.

Dr. Tom Kohntopp, a faculty member in the School of Management, was invited to a Kettering Foundation (Dayton, Ohio) forum to discuss how business schools can influence positive social change through community engagement.

Dr. Rocky J. Dwyer, a contributing faculty member in the School of Management, published “Preparing Leaders for the Multi-Generational Workforce” in the Journal of Enterprising Communities: People and Places in the Global Economy. Dr. Dwyer was also named to the Ontario Parks Board last year.

Swinton W. Hudson Jr. , a contributing faculty member in the School of Management, published “Leadership Personalities: Extrovert, Introvert, or Ambivert?” in the International Journal of Management and Economics Invention and “Business Culture: Comprehensive Analysis and Impact on Strategic Goals” in the International Journal of Advanced Research.

Dr. Janice K. Garfield, a faculty member in the School of Management, has been named to the Board of Examiners for the 2016 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award by the U.S. Commerce Department’s National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Dr. Ken Gossett, a contributing faculty member in the School of Management, co-presented a paper with Dr. Shepherd and Mr. Bohun on “Four-Dimensional Modeling and Simulation for Use in Interactive Airspace Training Materials” at the Oxford Education Research Symposium held at Pembroke College, Oxford University. December 7, 2015.

Dr. Janice K. Garfield, a core faculty member in the School of Management, has been named an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer (ASQ CQE), indicating a proficiency in and a comprehension of quality engineering principles and practices.

Dr. Thomas Kohntopp, a core faculty member in the School of Management, recently coauthored Small Enterprise Strategies in an Unstable Public Environment, a case study, in the Management and Economics Research Journal.

Dr. Yvonne Doll, a faculty member in the School of Management, has copublished Trailblazers, the second volume in her “Guardians of Peace” series. The series is set in the late 1970s, when women first began to take an active role in the military, and explores the hardships faced by the women.

Dr. Justin Barclay, a faculty member in the School of Management, coauthored “Faculty Engagement as a Function of Instructional Mode and Employment Status” in the Journal of Instructional Research.
